Demon of the Revolution (Demon revolyutsii) is a 2017 Russian historical TV series. The plot is set in 1915-1917 and depicts the activities of the Russian revolutionary Alexander Parvus (Fyodor Bondarchuk). In the series, Parvus is depicted as the intermediary between the German General Staff and the Russian Bolsheviks and the organiser of Vladimir Lenin’s travel back to Russia from Switzerland through Germany in April 1917 (this issue is highly controversial, and a lot of different opinions exist).

A two-part theatrical release under the title Lenin. Neizbezhnost (Lenin. Inevitability’ English release title The Lenin Factor) was released in 2019. Barbarians Netflix series poster

„Barbarians” Gaumont-Netflix TV-Series – Service Producer – HU

Barbarians is released on Netflix  as a historical drama for fans of Vikings and The Last Kingdom. The series features Germanic warriors as they fight against the Roman Empire – here’s what fans need to know about the setting of the show and where it was filmed. The show is set during the dramatic Battle of Teutoburg Forest, which took place in Nine CE.
The real blood-drenched battle saw Germanic warriors halting the northward advance of the Roman Empire. History buffs will know this saw an alliance of Germanic peoples ambush and destroy three Roman legions. This was led by Arminius who was an officer who had acquired Roman citizenship. As a result, he was able to deceive the Roman commanders and lead his men into victory. The exact site of the battle is not actually known but there are some theories about where it was. The main argument is how it took place in the Teutoburg Forest in the German states of Lower Saxony and North Rhine-Westphalia. This is located in north-west Germany, in between Hanover and Dusseldorf.
However, the Netflix series was not actually shot on location in Germany. Instead, the series was shot entirely in Hungary, which doubled for the forest. The characters in the show speak German and Latin.
